About Us

Roscommon’s Credit Union was founded in October 1966. By November 1966, The Credit Union had 68 members. Today that number has grown to over 5,500 and is still growing.

The Credit Union Offices were originally located at St. Coman’s Club, and operated on Sundays mornings only.

Today we are located in our own new building in Abbey Street and are open Monday to Friday from 10.00 a.m. to 5.00p.m. and also open until 8.00pm every Friday

The Common Bond is that factor which unites all members of a credit union. In our case a member must reside or work within our common bond area.

Our common bond includes the parishes of Roscommon

Roscommon - Kilteevan,

Oran - Ballinaheglish, Clooneycolgan and Cloverhill,

Kilbride - Fourmilehouse and Derrane,

Knockcroghery - St John’s, Rahara and Taughboy,

Dysart - Four Roads and Ballyforan

plus the District Electoral Division of Rosmoylan

This website is designed to keep our members informed about what is happening in their Credit Union.
